Get Splashing Fun at Wild Wild Wet!

Wild Wild Wet at Downtown East had just completed its expansion & now it had doubled its size to double the fun! If you have not been to this water park yet, you are missing out on a whole load of splashing adventures.. This is a map of Wild Wild Wet; the water features at the bottom: the Tsunami & the area surrounded by Shiok River (aka lazy river) is the old waterpark & the rest above is the new extension! :

Once you step into its grounds, you will be greeted by the Wet & Wild fountain that most kids would love!

But I guess the young children would be more interested to get splashing wet at this Splash Play water playground!

There are fun stations to explore within Splash Play, such as the water gun, it is a fantastic chance for them to get "naughty" & squirt away with that cheeky innocent look & laugh off with "Gotcha!!"

Facing Splash Play, there is a shaded area where the adults can rest on pretty deck chairs as they observe the children at play.

And bear in mind -NOT to leave your barangs unattended.. Right behind those deck chairs, there are the outdoor showers for you to cool down every now & then, if it is a pretty hot day..

For kids who would love to get a little more adventurous, they can take on the wavy slides looking like colourful snakes at Kidz Zone. They can even challenge each other on the red slide to see "who can slide faster".

The children can even grab their kiddy float (green colour) and slide down the purple one that has a funnel around the middle:

That is pretty much all for the kids (Hurray!) Now to introduce the rides for the adults.. there is the Whoosh! (Available from 1 June - 30 July 2017) This is Singapore's longest (50m) inflatable freestyle water slide, where you can slide down from a height of 4.5m!

You will need to collect the blue rubber mat, before queueing to go up the steps & get ready to "whoosh" down the slide. To add to the excitement, this is a double slide.. which means, you may get a chance to compete with another person to see who can slide the furthest! At the end of the slide, you are supposed to carry the rubber mat back. You can slide down the Whoosh over & over again if you like!

At the other end, far behind the Whoosh, you will find the Royal Flush.

Just be prepared to climb up some flights of stairs (no need to carry the rubber dinghy..) & all the dinghy that gets automatically transported from the bottom will be waiting for you up there (hah!) The dinghy can take up to 4 people per ride & there is a minimum height requirement of 1.2m. Hold your breath, as the dinghy that you are on flushes along with the pressure of the water down the tube. And watch out for that twist near the bottom!

If you love the motion of the twist from the Royal Flush, you will love this Slide Up. Grab an inflatable raft & ride on it with a partner. Slide Up is like a skateboarding ramp where you can slide down & up to the other side & back down again. The motion repeats till the raft stops at the bottom - you get the idea.

This is what most people would love to do at Wild Wild Wet - rush to the Shiok river & grab a float, so they can drift along the river with it. You can go a few more rounds the river if you like. Just hop off (no worry - the river is only 1m deep) at the steps when you are done.

If you had enough of Shiok River, you can move one level up to "ride the waves" at the Tsunami.

Tsunami provides you with a feeling of drifting in the sea with timed waves. Its deepest depth is 1.8m, thus if there are kids they need to be accompanied by adults. To step up the fun, you can also do Stand Up Paddling here - click for more details.
