~The beauty of horse oil~
Ever heard of the story of horse oil (bahyu)?
In Hokkaido, Northern Japan, the region is full of majestic mountains, hence it is a traditional practice for villagers to rear horses. The climate in Hokkaido is cold & dry, and it is the driest region in the country.
There is an old lady who lived with her son in the region, they both own a racecourse & they rear some of the best horses ranked in Japan. The cold & dry climate often plague the old lady with dry & rough skin, and also many other problems, such as pigmentations.
As the Japanese love to consume horsemeat, the old lady begin to sell cut pieces of horsemeat to the restaurants in the area. Mystically, ever since she begin cutting horse meat, the skin on her fingers, palm & the back of her hand start to have obvious changes--they become soft & moist. The horse oil (bahyu) that flows out as she cut the meat inadvertently nourish her hands..
With the breakthrough findings, they work with a dermatologist in Japan & thereafter, horse oil (bahyu) is produced :)
